It is very important to understand that safety nets have only one purpose: to prevent jumpers from falling or bouncing off of the trampoline.
Safety nets can be useful for this purpose, particularly for those who are new to trampolining.
However, the use of a safety net must never be considered as a replacement for proper, supervised trampoline activity. When using a safety net:
- Never allow more than one person on the trampoline at a time.
- Never attempt a trick or manoeuvres that you otherwise wouldn’t try just because the safety
net will keep you from falling off.
- Never purposefully bounce into the netting.
- Never climb on the netting.
